The Cross Institution Mentoring Scheme for Technical Professionals (CIMS-T) is a mentoring programme, set up by technicians for technicians. This session will explain how the CIMS-T programme can match you with a relevant mentor to support you, or how you can support another technician by becoming a mentor yourself.

Travel, accommodation for one night, and subsistence for the event will be fully covered. Attendees are advised to book their own travel and accommodation (up to £180 per night), and can claim the costs back from us after the event. The biennial UK Higher Education Technicians Summit (HETS) returns this year with the acclaimed Papin Prizes (nominations close 31 January.)
The one-day event will be free to attend and is kindly sponsored by UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) and Midlands Innovation.
Technical professionals can apply for travel bursaries to attend the conference to help with the cost of travel, if required. Apply by 28 February 2025.
